  • Leveraging Open Source CMS web sites with real content to get search engine hits and provide a valuable mission-critical set of applications to improve sales and customer service, with a focus on Drupal and related software 
  • Implementing innovative and highly-efficient publishing workflows using Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Utilizing the hidden power of relational databases and automated data-processing with MySQL, FileMaker, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle 
  • Providing secure and standards-based web services and development using Apache, PHP, IIS, and ColdFusion 
  • Building a successful and low-cost software infrastructure with operating environments such as Linux, Macintosh OS X/Server, Windows Server, and BSD

The employment history below shows multiple companies, however, this all represents one continuous employment during multiple acquisitions and consolidations. 

2002 – 2010 Customer Solutions Senior Director, Quebecor World Premedia, Orlando, FL 

Managed the development, implementation and on-going support of high-end, high-volume web sites. More then a dozen sites currently hosted in a data center and used by thousands of end-customers every day. 

Established a Customer Solutions department for sales support and in-house Web and database development. To date, this department has provided millions of dollars in revenue that would otherwise have been lost, with clients that include Disney, Jacksonville Jaguars, Darden Restaurants, and Outback Steakhouse 

1995 – 2002 Director of Technologies, World Color - Central Florida Press, Orlando, FL 

Managed the company’s development team during conversion of this printing facility from film-based to direct-to-plate technologies Implemented many innovative solutions to secure pre-press revenue Projects included internal systems for complex job tracking and customer-driven database development for production automation 

1993 – 1995 Director of Training, Lanman Systems Group, Tampa, FL 

Developed nationally recognized course materials for digital production of printed materials Created innovative training tools and quick-reference guides used by creative professionals National-level clients became the primary focus, including Smithsonian, National Wildlife, Air & Space, L.L.
